Methodology

Estimates are presented as ranges, never as falsely precise figures. Each range is derived from a combination of:

• Publicly available pricing information where providers publish it.
• Anonymised, voluntary submissions from UK dental professionals.
• Sector benchmarks for role, years qualified and clinical scope risk weighting.

We never invent figures. If we don't have enough confidence in the data for a provider, we display "Quote required" or "Low confidence estimate" instead of a spuriously precise number.

• High confidence, recent data, strong sample size, verified source, closely matches user profile.
• Medium confidence, relevant but broader data, moderate sample size, reasonably recent.
• Low confidence, older or limited sample, broad estimate.
• Quote required, pricing isn't published and we don't have enough community data to estimate honestly.

The default "Best match" sort considers estimated premium, cover model, scope suitability, quote speed, data confidence and the user's selected profile. Users can re-sort by lowest premium, fastest quote, or highest confidence at any time.

All Med Pro is currently a featured commercial partner. We may receive a referral fee when a user takes out cover with a featured partner. This is clearly labelled on every page where the partner appears and does not affect our comparison methodology: featured partners are ranked using the same objective criteria as every other provider.

We welcome anonymised contributions from UK dental professionals. Submissions never include your name, email, phone, address, or GDC number. We apply outlier detection and manual review before any data influences live estimates.

We only use legally usable public sources and explicit, anonymised community submissions. We do not scrape closed forums, private groups, or content that breaches another site's terms.
